Love Or Lust
LOVE OR LUST
I imagined it was love I felt,
Each morning, as she glided into view.
She had the sort of beauty that could melt
The hardest heart; I’m sure she knew.
Blonde hair, cascading down her back,
And sparkling eyes of deepest blue.
Eyes that somehow had the knack
Of seeming to be sparkling just for you.
Sometimes she favoured me with secret smiles,
Or so it seemed to this poor lovelorn boy.
But little did I know of female wiles
And of the subtle torture they employ.
But I was blinded by her beauty, I confess.
Oh, did I mention her outstanding bust?
Yes, I’m sure it didn’t take you long to guess.
What I imagined to be love, was simply lust
