LOVE ONCE BLOOMED

Could you take me back?
 To where Love once bloomed.
   Away from this oozing
 Wound.

   Revive the flutters,
 We used to feel.
   Do away with the scars
 I conceal.

   Time and life,
 Steal it away.
   The love is lost,
 It couldn't stay.

   Back to where dreams
 Came true.
   Back to the family
  I once knew.

   She and I and
 A little boy.
   The apple of the eye,
 All pride and joy.

   Reality creeps in,
 and I'm alone.
   No one throws
 This dog a bone.

 Could you take me back?
 To where love once bloomed.
   Far away from this,
 Cold Dark Tomb.
