Love of Nature
Tall trees flanking a leaf laden path
Rustling under my feet as I walk
Sun and shadow leading my way ahead
As waking bird’s chatter and squawk
The smell of the moss on dew laden ground
In a blanketed forest long overgrown
There silence and contentment can be found
And peace be felt as I walk alone
When from the forest a meadow is found
Fields of flowers wave in the breeze
And rise to the sun as morning breaks
Over the tops of surrounding trees
A concert of nature plays out each day
As ever so quietly I walk on my way!
