Love Me To Death

We stand over a cliff
And you're holding me
By a rope

You've tied a knot
Alike a noose and hung me
By my throat

And before this day
Had came to pass
You whispered in my ear

I will love you forever
And my heart you will always
Stay near

My legs begin to shake
And it's now a struggle
To breathe

But you just laugh
While I die and you turn around
To leave

For I thought you always
Loved me
And I thought you would always
Be there

Yet I guess I was wrong
Because you let me fall
Then walked away
Without a care

Heya Chyanne, a very sad deep personable poem, and the title does not disappoint, literally loved to death, albeit not in the orthodox way, a fine write, cheers David
