Love Me For Me
I look in the mirror, and what do I see?
An unknown stranger is staring back at me.
I fought hard to be what you want.
Not realizing it’s all a big front.
I become what you want,
The next thing you know,
you are unhappy, and want me to show,
how much I love you, by changing again.
I am beginning to realize, this fight I can’t win.
So I am asking you now, why can’t you see?
I am who I am, the person I was meant to be.
Why can’t you love me, for being me?
