Love Me

You should have loved me from the start,,
 the chance was there in your open heart.

Slow with hidden secrets in your hand
 unrevealed but ready for your command.

You glimpsed paradise in my eyes
 and looked at another in their disguise.

What future is un-obtained as time flies
 and hearts drift out the door without asking why.

There goes my dream and princely knight
 love me or leave me in this shadowy light.
