Love Letters

In dusty boxes, tied with faded blue,
Love letters lie, a tender, fragrant hue.
Each penned with care, in script both bold and fine,
A whispered echo of a love divine.

The ink, though faded, holds a vibrant spark,
Each word a memory, a love-lit ark.
They speak of laughter, shared in sunlit days,
Of stolen kisses, whispered, loving ways.

Now, grief has come, a heavy, shadowed cloak,
And tears fall silent, words unspoken, choked.
But in these letters, solace to be found,
A love remembered, strong, and safe, and sound.

For love's true essence, time cannot erase,
It lingers still, within this sacred space.
And though the heart may ache, and tears may flow,
Love's gentle whispers, softly, soothe the woe.
