Love Is

LOVE IS

Love is romancing and always being kind,
No matter the hundred things on your mind.

Love is sharing a pillow or a single bed all night,
Where you have to passionately cuddle up tight!

Love is your husband offering to cook a fine dine meal,
Eating with candlelight, and with a kiss to seal.

Love is all about Birthdays and Christmas and giving,
And never a thought given, to ever receiving.

Love is snuggling up on the sofa and feeling warm,
Whilst your curtains stay open, watching a storm.

Love is to cherish and to always have trust,
This is never in question, simply a must! 

Love is never to cry, unless with pure joy,
To say ‘I love you’ and to never each other annoy.

True love is Lilly white, gentle yet fiery, seductive,
It is most certainly an aphrodisiac and so addictive.

Love is to count on someone from dusk to dawn,
And be tickled as you are about to have a yawn!

Love is all about passion and having compassion,
Always meant marriage, but becoming out of fashion! 

Love is more-some, and like sharing a chocolate,
As years go by, the closer you become to your mate.

Love is being a friend to the absolute distraught end,
Until death do you part, and a soul now ascends!

Love is forever, to please each one’s every endeavour,
A more beautiful life you know, could be matched, never!

Jennifer Proxenos May 14, 2019 at 12:41 AM Thanks for a great comment my friend - romance is beautiful its not all about declaring your love for one another (yes absolutely that too) but it is having fun and being tickled in the morning as you wake up, it is watching a storm cuddled up on the sofa with the curtains open or watching 3 episodes of a great series on TV, and when your husband goes out into the garden to find the first spring flower and gives it to you! Maybe because it is the second time around with both of us and both in our mid forties when we got married, explains a lot about our romance. Hugs, Jennifer.

We were also far more mature and i was so lovestruck with his kind gentle ways, that our marriage blossomed into the understanding yet loving relationship that I treasure today.
