Love Has No Season

The holidays have come and gone The ground is white with snow As fragile tulips sleep beneath A winter's tundra glow Our Christmas trees have been replaced By Valentines of red We try to face tomorrow's dawn Without a weather dread But we have hope that Spring will come Its God's promise to renew Our frozen earth and bare-limb trees With color, tint and hue I know not when the world will warm But this I know is true When spring announces it is here It renews my love for you You bring the sunlight with your smile The lilacs with your touch And when the grass begins to green I love you oh so much You pledged to me a life of joy No matter what the season That is why I love you so I don't need a better reason
