Love Has Fled

My
heart,
my soul,
lie empty
since your love has fled.
Your gentle laughter haunts my mind.
Those brown eyes so soft and warm now shine for another.
Long auburn hair framed your beautiful face, now shared with someone else in loves sweet embrace.

Why do you think you are only a beginner? I myself am learning as I go. I've seen your poems around. I think you are great. Don't comment much, because I hardly see you around my pages... But you stand out.. Now that clown's make me nervous... LOL...JK...LINDA

Thanks for taking a swim in my lil' old bowl. Thank you for the congratulations, I really enjoy writing in this form, but I am only a beginner with all of this although I have loved reading poetry since I was a child. If you have you have any time available and you are in the mood I would love some advice on writing. I am always looking to find better ways to express my feelings and I really admire your work Linda. Love Shane xxx

Thanks for stopping by my bowl and the congrats, I tried to depict a feeling of abandonment and heart felt loss which seems to compliment this form of poetry, it allows extra emphasis on each line which adds to the feeling of the whole. love Shane xxx

Shane..your soul should not lie empty b/c love fled...but should hold on to the memory, knowing you once were loved. You will love again and even deeper next time...well written...seize the day !

Hi, Better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all. Maybe but each hurt leaves a scar. Thank you for your words. Love Shane xxx

Dear Jan, I thank you for for your kind words. The poem sort of wrote itself, the only line I altered from what i jotted down in my first draft was the last and that was just rearranging the words for a better flow. I did not even check the syllable count till the end and it was correct. I think this poem wanted to be said. I hope you and your family are well, i miss talking. love Shane xxx

Oh so beautiful yet deeply sad to know what once was ours belongs to someone else, especially if what belongs to someone else is love ,and a sweet smile that is no longer preserved for us.An outstanding fibonacci..Charma

Thank you again for stopping in to read my poems Charma. It is a sadness that will not ease and lingers in your heart. Regret remorse anger all get caught up in a malestrom of negative emotions. love is a powerful beast that sometimes can turn on itself. be safe my dear friend. love Shane xxx

These are just words to someone who has never experienced heartbreak. For those who know how deeply love can cut, it is amazing! If only we could turn our minds off to conceal the memories. Beautiful! 7

Dear Connie thank you for your visit and words, It would be nice to be able to forget the hurt but then if it meant I would also forget the ecstasy and joy, I think not. Love is always a two edged sword with your heart balanced between the extremes. love Shane XXX
