Love Forgotten

Shadows cast over an empty lot My light is gone Covered by the gray fog of death I saw your love for me die like the petals of a wilting rose decomposing in the ground Our love was a puddle Now dried up by the burning sun Evaporated by the long days of a loveless summer The crimson color of love forgotten Soaking the feathers of the white dove Perching on your ebony heart
