Love For Sale

a hug is inexpensive it does'nt cost much because it isn't sensitive it isn't nessisarily a crush an act of kindness is all it is very little emotion we give we only get them simply because we live that's why a hug is so inexpensive a grasp, that's inexpensive too give them away, that's what we do it's passion, a thing hard to control men use then on each other they don't have to be bold an embrace, now that's a different story one has to be held to get that glory a gift so special it may cost some time a real embrace is earned not stolen with a line it can be as short as a hug but it's still an embrace not only an act of love but a special kind of grace it may come at the end of a long journey or in may come to end a date an embrace is something that takes us to a very special place to be held by someone special is the closest you can come to divine to recieve that special gift an act of love specially designed oh what a surprise to one been given the most precious gift ever received by the living not quite material but indeed something else you can put it in your heart but not on a shelf an occasion worth remembering a special moment by itself was it worth the mourning the cost of these wonderful things? a tear or two, a thought that's blue a dedication to give a life to you we barter with emotions our most precious ideals and pay our souls devotion the most expensive gift there is

A wonderful poem with a lot of thought behind your words. Simple things can mean so much more when it is given from the heart. God bless Phyl

haha, Still laughing about your comment on Russian adoption. yes, I think if you were my parent, you may have shipped me off because also, I did not care for hugs. I could not say "i love you" to my mom until I was 18 leaving for school. Now I have adapted & learned to say it to my very close loved ones. Some of us were not built for touchy feely emotion, john . But i do understand many are. Notice how I end comments(now ya know why!)I care, but I am not free & easy with the word!(LUv!)Andrea

You brought tears to my eyes, John. Hugs are free to give, but rarely given. When someone does offer a hug, it is always so welcome. You have been writing some incredible poetry lately, John. We are watching your work grow by leaps and bounds. This is terrific! Love, Carolyn
