Love Does Not Live Here Anymore

I She left this morning at the first faint light of dawn without so much a word if just to say goodbye, turned her back on what was once a happy home, slipped into a cab and she was gone for good. II Our little girl peacefully sleeps in her tiny room, in an hour she'll awaken and look for her mom; it breaks my heart to tell her, how do I even begin, that her mother won’t be coming home anymore. Love does not live here anymore, now there are only broken dreams; pieces that can't be put back together, love does not live here anymore. III God knows how much I tried to make it all work out but there’s no stopping a heart that longs for more, one who hungers to have what I could never give, that only the man in the mansion could grant her. IV It's time to throw out photographs of us together, clean out closets where her perfume still lingers, burn away traces that bring back old memories, the flame has died and love is not here anymore. Love does not live here anymore, now there are only broken dreams; our life together just a distant haze, love does not live here anymore.
