Love Beyond the Light

In shadows deep, where sorrows reside, A tale unfolds of love's lost stride. With heavy hearts and tearful eyes, We mourn the ones we idolize. Gone from this realm, departed in breath, Two cherished souls embrace in death. Through silence echoes a resounding pain, Our spirits shattered, forever changed. Yet even in darkness, hope finds a way, For love transcends beyond decay. In lands unknown, where angels dwell, Love's essence lingers, casting its spell. In dreams of slumber, they softly appear, With gentle whispers to calm their fear. Their presence felt, though unseen by eye, They guide us onward, as days pass by. Embraced in memories, their spirit thrives, A beacon of love that forever survives. Hands touching, the warmth of love’s embrace, Remains etched in their souls, an unyielding grace. And in the afterlife's ethereal glow, Love blooms eternal, for them we know. Through celestial realms, their souls take flight, Both guided by love, a radiant light. Though tears may flow like rivers wide, Love's bond endures, it cannot hide. For in the tapestry of life and death, Love is immortal, with every breath.

Courtney, your poem is such a tender exploration of grief and enduring love. The opening shows loss, with "heavy hearts" and "shattered spirits." But the poem beautifully shifts towards hope, emphasizing how love transcends even death. The imagery offers peace, while the dreams and memories provide connection. The final lines about "celestial realms" and "immortal love" offer a powerful message of comfort and hope. Your poem beautifully navigates the complexities of grief while celebrating the enduring power of love. - Blessings, Daniel

You really understand my version and I love your comments. It’s hard to stay within the word count. I am extremely verbose. One day I will get a lifetime membership.
