LOVE AND WAR

Love and war, two separate planets
Revolving in one solar system
One inhabited by living hearts
The other by shadows that breathe not.

Love and war, twins of the same mother
One of humility and radiant beauty
The other, unruly, and cruelly ugly
Yet both embraced by their mother.

Love and war, reflections in a mirror
One a reality, a guiding star
The other an imposter, an endless night
For they dwell on the same path, the guide is your heart.
