Love & War

I tried to love you the best I can
But nothing went according to plan
Our hearts went in but neither came back
We've much to learn and too much we lack
Till tomorrow we'll say our good-byes
But in each step you take a piece of me dies

We were reaching for something we couldn't see
Tried and failed where we once believed
Where love used to live it doesn't belong
A calm before the storm come and gone

I cannot forget all the things you said
Or hide form the lies in the back of your head
Even if you could take them all away
You would never see the day
When all is fair in Love & War
Or I couldn't love you anymore
