Love and Peace

By Michael J Falotico

I write for people to see my life..
Some poems are on sadness, others my wife..
I found a place where around the world Poets read..
A place where I could grow and in return be another Poets feed..
A contest win is all well and fine, but to touch a soul across the pond is divine..
A soup mail from a teen saying they get my write..
It's such a joy to know I could touch anothers life..
I have spilled on these pages my ups and downs..
And also hope I could make a smile from a frown..
I'm no White Knight as the Sweetheart proclaims..
Just a man and his mistakes who now has a sharper aim..
I have traveled through anger and despair to find love and peace..
Now a gift with my pen, my life folds with no crease..

Really like what you say here, Michael :) I agree, what is important is that we are able to touch people with our poetry, that by far is the greater reward :) write on, my friend ^_^ and heehee, yeah that is sorta long (but fitting for wordy me) but I can settle for "crazy" the nice kind of crazy though??? hugs :)

so warm, so generous of you to share your innermost feelings, michael... your poetry transcends all ages.. the one that singularly strikes me is your CONCERN FOR THE YOUNG BUDDING ONES ! for this ALONE, this offering stands apart... :) huggs, nette

That is the sweetest things in life. A man who does not ask for much, but only 2 please his wife. Michael, we need 2 keep the teens in mind, on how we behave while they are around. I have many teens who come 2 me, and I'm so honored in helping or giving advice. I'm one 2 brag about your poems, I guess the little teen in me, understands your writes. easy 2 comment and follow, and say WOW!!! why pretend i know what I'm reading. The real gift any poet has is sharing. Take care ,, always..p.d.

This poem speaks to me-your poetry has deep meaning for YOU and for OTHERS too. That's what it's all about, poetry dude! ha ha. If you need trivia, trivia u will find...I am enthralled by trivia and I am one of a kind....How many paper clips is equivalent to 5 pounds? haha. Thanks for regarding my work worthy enough for your fav poetry box. That's a mighty nice complement. Gwendolen

A real beauty and reflection of the man that you are, Michael. Not afraid to admit that he made mistakes but you sure are a better man for making them and actually learn from them.. may your inspiration waterfall never dry up - love WNN
