Love Against All Odds

An ember cloud and fireballs
lit up the sky,
as the lovers embraced
each other in deep
moment of love.

They held each other's
arms and kissed
as though time had
stopped.

The two lovers turned to pillars
of ash as Mount Vesuvius
spewed out lava and rocks
all over Pompeii.

Their love was so deep and powerful,
that not even the scorch
of Mother Nature could separate
them from their bond....

I watched the move. The volcano eruption scenes are quite compelling. The whole movie is actually very engaging. You portrayed it very well in your poem. Enjoyed reading it. Congratulations Teddy.

In reality, there's still white figures of humans and animals who suddenly turned to ash, when the extreme heat of Mt. Vesuvius eruption reached Pompeii villages. Thanks for wishing me well in the contest, Jan!! *^_^*
