Love
You wish to know about
the feeling that love brings?
Like a thousand butterflies
with razor blade wings
Or the light stroking of your cheek
from a gentle hand
before it grasps hold of your neck
and fills your throat with sand
The feel of his soft lips upon yours
and the warmth of his breath
asphixating you with his kiss
taking you inches from death.
You want to know about love?
You ask why I am frowning?
The answers are simple for me,
Love is a lot like drowning.
