Love

Love is a strange thing
It’s hidden and it’s free.
It allows us to truly see
who we are.

Not what someone else calls us
But how we define ourselves
And the people around us
Bringing us closer together than ever before.

Yet, it is hidden in the darkest caves
Where only the brave shall go
In search of the desire to love and be loved.

In a world bound by time
Love is the one thing that is resistant to it.
Hate will pass
Sadness will pass
And loneliness will pass

But love will be passed on generation to generation
Thriving above every other human instinct that can tear us apart.

For love gives us the courage—
The courage to live—
To live as one.
