Lou the Pooh
Once upon a time, in a garden where butterflies dwell
there was a caterpillar named Lou
The other caterpillars would tease him every day
Because, er, Lou looked like, bird pooh!
All of them called him Lou the pooh
And this would make him mad
He had many a fight on the milkweed plant
Lou was just so sad
Like the others Lou had a huge appetite
He was an eating machine
In a couple weeks Lou was bigger than he'd ever been
Then one day Lou lost his appetite
He crept to the underside of a leaf
And their he clung, until the time was right
Lou had become a chrysalis
And would soon become a butterfly
Then one sunny morning Lou broke free
from his cocoon, and he was a beauty
His wings were lavender, with dots of red
Lou took off into the air, with his wings spread
He floated with elegant ease on a gentle spring breeze
He was so happy as he visited each flower
And in the garden he spent many happy hours.
