Lotus Tribute
In the hands of Lakshmi,
from nirvana it was torn.
Adorning your ripened soul,
where you are again reborn.
Full lotus into your thoughts,
crisscrossing leaves that burn.
Oceans of knowledge you bring,
tasteful poetry that we learn.
Pinks and whites marking love,
binding petals to this delight.
Like neatly kept journal pages,
that you stylize each write.
Glowing sunsets in your eyes,
floating silently inside a dream.
Innocence said to be motivation,
through a maelstrom of steam.
Falling from despair and desire,
the road to failure unwanted.
Masks of happiness worn daily,
that hide faith forever haunted.
The withering shadow of utility,
gone from these temporal plains.
Dear lotus, wherever you sleep,
my voice will embrace your pains.
