Lotus Flower and the Wind
Drizzling rain saddens her petals of white
Floating in the murky pond, she feels her plight.
Drooping her leaves into despair of lost hope.
She wept and wept as she tries to cope.
Gentle wind surrounds her with a loving touch.
Her petals clasp her heart, it means so much.
His soft breath tenderly swirls her into a clear pond.
She searches into the night for the one that has gone.
Yet knowingly the presence of him is with her.
She here’s a whispering wind “beloved I am here” .
Then her petals are opened with Moons radiant light.
They swirl into the sky with their hearts so bright.
Finally the blooming slowly ends as her time has passed.
The gentle wind now has his beloved in his arms at last.
They dance in a loving embrace across the cool night.
It is a wonder to see two beautiful souls take flight.
