Lost Within Sound

Endless dream state,
With thoughts abound,
Oh the things we contemplate,
Whilst lost within sound.

An explosion to the left,
Tears begin to grace,
What is left,
Of a victims face.

Yet you feel apathy,
A slowed sense of time,
An interesting philosophy,
Barren of rhythm or rhyme.

Simply lost within the sound,
Of death and bloodshed,
Oh the horror I have found,
Then off with the news, and off to bed.
