Lost Time

I woke up one day to find that I
had aged ten years overnight

I couldn't believe when I looked
in the mirror that things were not all firm and tight

Where did my life go where was I now
how did those days sneak by

One day I was taking care of my child
the next thing i know i saw time fly

My children were grown almost out of the house
how could this happen to me

I want those days back I want to know
how and what things happened to be

Nothing is bringing me any answers
no one is giving a clue
I'm so sad,so lost and confused just don't know what to do

It took therapy to teach me of time lost
and more therapy to try to get it back

Truth is I turned on cruise control
when everything seemed out of whack

So I lost a big chunk of my life
through nobody's fault not my own

If I wan t to remember what happened then
I have to go back and be shown
