Lost Thoughts

Gazing at the beautiful sunlit sky
Daydreaming as my thoughts start to fly
In that indescribable space
My thoughts are my private place
When it's quiet; I dream
When it's noisy; I scream!
I feel disconnected from reality,
Far from the worlds true practicality
The peace that I hope to find
I find within my own mind
My eyes have been opened to what's in front of me
One day hoping to see peace and harmony
I am stuck between these perplexing ideas
Wondering lately where my mind is
Some days, I retreat far back into my mind
Truths and facts do fade with time
My thoughts are a place with limitless freedom
Many cannot grasp the meaning
Yes I can see it clear as day
Lost thoughts hidden behind jilted memories just fade away

Jeffrey, sometimes our thoughts turn into a vortex going round and round, forever disappearing and never found. Your poem conveys this. I like your use of rhyme----it is quite imaginative. All the best with your writing, Sonia.
