Lost Soul

i feel like a lost soul
drifting thru this life
how will i overcome it
all the struggle and strife
i fight a battle each day
deep within my head
many times i lose it
and inside i feel dead
emotions feelings or care
are things that i don't feel
this makes me ever wonder
what is really real.

danny many years ago now I contemplated Reality - Once I had a friend from Mexico and one from Alaska at my house - What I perceived to be a beautiful day was too hot for one friend and too cold for the other - My point is that reality is what ever we choose it to be for no one sees through our eyes but us - Congrats on being featured - God Bless, MJ

Congrats on being featured this week, Danny. This is a very soulful & thought-provoking write. We've all had days like this... I know I have. The only thing that helps me is to just give it over to God...not to sound cliche` but it really does work... because some things are just too big for me & I need Somebody bigger to help me handle it all. He has brought me through an awful lot in my 38 years of life! I probably keep Him pretty busy! haha God bless my friend & hope it gets better. Love, Amy

congradts on the feature. there was a story on NPR about teenagers in Japan who get so desensitized that they are no longer aware of their own feelings other than numbness. I guess the culture favors repression. If you'd forgive me offering a suggestion, when you find yourself wondering what is really real, try focusing on why that question keeps coming up in your head, why it comes up in all our heads. You may find your answer that way.
