Lost Perceptions
Lost Perceptions
(2010)
Love, a modern day hello and good-bye.
Pain and joy all at once, visible to the eye.
I loved that you were once here. Hate to say goodbye…
When the Bye wasn’t that Good beyond blurred eyes.
Eyes couldn’t see what was once held.
You gave me your heart and I watched as it fell.
It fell deep in love yet from work I couldn’t deter.
Money, she’d saved me, how could I not love her?
Patterns became schedules…I knew you’d always be there.
Complaining while I paid for desires that you never had to share.
Never had I thought that it would end this way.
I believed that love always had a price to be paid.
I have romanced and revealed sensitivity before.
They loved her too. If given the world, they’d want the galaxy’s floor.
I wish I had learned… listened to your silent cries.
I love you so much yet not enough to keep you in my Life.
