Lost Love

SOFT TEARS UPON A CASKET FALL
A LOVE LOST WAY TOO SOON
PROMISES BROKEN HARSH WORDS SPOKEN
LIFE FULL OF SADNESS LOOMS
HE WAS SO YOUNG SO FULL OF LIFE
BUT BY HIS GRAVE SHE STANDS
THE BABY NESTLED IN HER WOMB
NEVER TO KNOW HIS FATHERS HANDS
WHAT LIFE AHEAD IS THERE FOR THEM
SHE KNOWS NOT WHAT TO DO
FAMILY AND FRIENDS DON'T UNDERSTAND
THAT HER HEART IS TORN IN TWO
THE CHILD SHE HOLDS WITHIN HER WOMB
 IS WHAT THEY FOUGHT ABOUT
WHETHER TO PAINT PINK OR BLUE
DID MAKE THEM SCREAM AND SHOUT
HE WENT OUTSIDE TO WALK IT OFF
NEVER TO RETURN
AND NOW SHE STANDS AT HIS GRAVESIDE
HER BROKEN HEART TO YEARN
