Lost In a Blue Dream

All I have left are words for you
A poetic palette of love lost in blue
Thoughts echo thru decaying dreams
Sapphire sounds of my silent screams

My cries cascade into waters deep
Where lachrymal leviathans gently weep
And breaths held until the sacred shore
Love abandoned upon the ocean floor

Where sailing ships cast their anchor
To rescue love with winds of levanter
Lost in a blue dream trying to find you
Searching for love with a skeleton crew.



.levanter  -noun:   an easterly wind in the western Mediterranean area
.leviathan -a very large aquatic creature
.love -something we all deeply want...but then we let it go

Jennifer Proxenos February 7, 2019 at 10:51 AM So right Winged Warrior - we often let go of a love that we think we will never find again, but I was one of the lucky ones, my love came back for me twenty years later and as both of us were divorced we got married 6 months later.
