Lost Hope
Oh, he was new, like a few, no clue what to do
But he had a horse, could ride of course, might be worse
He could always learn, and then earn, wages to burn
They ate well, so they tell, down by the dinner bell
A cowboy's life, with strife, may keep him from a wife
He goes to town, and messes around, nothing found
Restless, he starts to feel nestless, never stressless
He learns to rope, ways to cope, tries not to lose hope
So then, he tries again, just like all other men
Then quits of course, rides his horse, tends his cows with remorse
