Lost Girl of Sudan

LOST GIRL OF SUDAN Little lost girl, your world's not the place it ought to be. Where do you think you're running to? There's no place that wants you. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Little lost girl, don't think of running to Khartoum. No one will help you in Khartoum. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. No one will help you in Khartoum. OST GIRL OF SUDAN Desert gonna burn you. Soldier gonna rape you. Lion gonna eat you. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Desert gonna burn you. Soldier gonna rape you. Lion gonna eat you. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Little lost girl, don't think of running to Khartoum. Someone will sell you in Khartoum. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Your mama made you tight so your man would love you more. That's why the soldier chases you. Allah made you sweet so the lion would eat you. Everybody wants a piece of you. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Everybody wants a piece of you. Run. Run. Run. Desert gonna burn you. Soldier gonna rape you. Lion gonna eat you. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Desert gonna burn you. Soldier gonna rape you. Lion gonna eat you. There ain't no place for you. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. Run. © ron wilson aka Vee Bdosa the doylestown poet

Hi, Maureen, if people only realized what this is all about, and that it is being practiced not only in frica, but right here in the USA, they just do not know, or maybe they just do not want to know? This poem actually is a song I wrote and recorded, too, on Youtube, in my veebdosa account.

"Your mama made you tight"... I obsessed over that for several years as a visual artist. I appreciate the way you have placed it here in this lyric, like a tiny little slice, you really have to want to think about it to see how deep and painful the wound. Well done.
