Lost Child
See those stars in the heavens above
Feel the night close around you
Child who never felt a mother's love
Don't let the anger surround you
Everything seems beyond your reach
Failure in whatever you try
Hypocrisy in all they teach
Sometimes you just want to die
Life has never been kind nor fair
So many paths to choose
Doesn't seem to make a difference
No matter what you lose
You need to focus on all that's right
And the positives in your life
Make it through another night
Go beyond the hurt and strife
You have so much to offer the world
Hidden behind the pain
Feeling that your souls been hurled
Into the pouring rain
Rise above the anger and rage
Never looking behind you
Like a final scene on life's stage
Let the power of love remind you
