Lost Cause

Lost Cause Once again I tread a familiar and tiresome strip of mobius You are beautiful it is only natural that I seek to love you There are a great many things about you to be desired I believe that women are gods’ gift not only to men but to the world itself It pains me to the core that your path is one of more pain and ultimately destruction When we last spoke you said the words so sweet to my soul; I love you The truth is I wanted to believe despite all you ever showed me was that you were a waste of money and time We can and will never be anything other than people who met and briefly walked a short path Still I pray for your soul and salvation and I hope that you seek to find yourself Otherwise such a treasure as you could be are simply just another lost cause
