Lost At Life

There's no welcome mat to my house
Just frayed carpets
With no get out clause

Life shifts at a moments notice
From sweet conversations
To the slamming of doors

Feel like i'm treading water
My mind drifting blankly
Barely there and hardly stable

Children's laughter
Echoes a long since corridor
Happy feet beneath the table

Feel like i am drowning
Only making out the ligths
From here in me

Body subsiding
Lights fading
Help me
