Lost and Found
My life, is mine to live and I will choose how to live it.
My path to walk awaits.
It lies before me, I can accumulate
Good or bad I can become rich or poor
As time and circumstance dictate
It will not be 'all' my choice
(Apart from) giving my life to Jesus,
That is a soul’s choice alone.
So would I at some point give everything I own away?
Will I 'choose' to leave myself utterly helpless?
That would not be a good move.
And yet when life is ending,
All will be removed from my ownership
Even 'this my life' I will not be able to operate it anymore
And who will possess it?
Who searches in life’s lost and found?
At closing time?
Who will own my destiny? Would it be better
To freely give my short human life to Jesus; right now?
Or wait until its eternal lease is assigned, and to whom?
