Do you think it so simple ? Do you not know I yet grieve ? My heart cries out through tearful silence All my hopes - have taken their leave The love I once held in these arms …. And shared every joy I’ve ever known Has left this world forever Leaving me in darkness - lost and alone

Hello ! Sorry, I just now saw this comment. This piece is derived from a loss,,,, but not in the way of conventional thinking I suppose. It is more based on the idea that so often others expect us to let go, forget ….. and return to what they expect from us. Some how we are to carry on in order that others may lean on us and support them…… never taking into account that we ourselves have been forever changed by our deep feeling of loss. I began this piece about seven years ago with the first two lines. Thank you for your wonderful comment.
