Lost
Inspired by: "Invictus" by: William Ernest Henley
I am lost in my own despair,
My pain coursing through my veins
I thank my hope, for it is
For my unconquerable soul
I fall to the simple circumstance
I feel wet drops upon my cheek
Alone, I am weak, I must remain strong
I will hold my head high
Judging eyes sadden my soul
My eyes burn, I mustn't look away
I fight to stay true to my promise
I shy away, alone, I truly am weak
I seek a time of glorious light,
When darkness seems to fade
The past will always haunt me
I shall remain unafraid
