Such a sad and heartbreaking illness...the loss of mind. I worked in New York City for 17 years and I have come across many a sad site. Witnessing some of the cities ugliest pictures...those of the mindless, those who blurt out sayings that make absolutely no sense at all...those who no longer have a functional mind. You just can't help to feel sorry for them...I have thought to myself many a time...what in god's creation made them that way, what has happened to them. I will never complain about my life again.

of course the moon cries... there are green tangerines browned and...the soup is mashed Senryu on Mind Poetry Contest 1-28-2020 Judged 2-3-2020

Fantastic senryu...my dad suffers from depression..and once long time ago He used to be a very healthy man.It takes only one straw on a life of pressure which can turn the mind insane..apart from other conditions..or life experirnces one passed through. Thanks for sharing.

In a mish mash of words some do stand out, like this Senyru of yours Charlie, you got me thinking of green tangerines browned :) and the soup being mashed. I quite agree though, the saddest thing to witness is the loss of a functional mind. Good luck in the contest my friend....Maria Hugs
