Loss of Innocence
So many years ago
My innocent eyes saw too much
Loss of innocence
With just one touch
Fleeing to shelters
Watching as my mom get's choked
Got older
Tired of being broke
No more straight A's
All I could see was money
Because I thought things would get better at home
Willing to do anything
Even bust on people unknown
Lies, deception, and manipulation was apart of me
No more going to church
Seems like everything around me
Is filled with pain and hurt
It hurts
When your homeboy get's gun down
Seems like you get used to it
When there's nothing but death around
Not trying to end up like them
But wouldn't hurt to leave
Praying for my soul
As I look up and on my knees.
