Loss of Feeling

Loss of feeling
Numbness is not so calming
Heart wrenching pain
I swear to God the light is calling
I close my eyes and I see it
So, clear
So, vivid.

And all I know is that I am falling…
Down,
Down,
Down,
From my own body
It sits there with its lifeless fake smile
While me,
I’m just diminishing down this pit
Of black dust
Filled with spit...
Is this me?
I have changed…
Is this me?
You say yes?
Really, I’m not even in my own body...
