Loss of A Pet

Losing a pet is like losing a piece of your soul,
A faithful companion, now gone, leaving a hole,
In your heart that feels raw and empty,
Memories of their love, oh so plenty.

Their wagging tail and gentle purr,
Their eyes that sparkled, so pure,
Their presence brought joy and light,
Now replaced by an endless night.

No more romps in the backyard,
No more cuddles, no more guard,
A void that cannot be filled,
A wound that cannot be healed.

Goodbye, old furry friend.

A pet is not just a pet is it? It becomes part of you and someone who has shared a big chapter of your life story with you. You've captured those feelings beautifully Everleigh in your rhyming. Sorry for your loss. Cheers - Gary
