Loss
Loss
We talked a little, I made you laugh
Yet tears were in your heart
Memories of tragedies
We quickly fell apart
But you are much a part of me
The cracks began to spread
From your loss I came undone
Pulling loose that single thread
Unknowingly the pieces fell
Like tiny grains of sand
And though I try to pick them up
They slip away again
Is this love, I think it not
This feeling is too strong
In your arms and in your heart
Only with you I belong
From time to time I'd catch a glimpse
Of someone with your face
But never you, it's never you
You didn't leave a trace
My heart grows cold without your warmth
No gravity in this place
Without your smile to keep me bound
This world holds no embrace
Without your light to guide my path
I'll fall into the night
And I'll find you there, no matter where
You are the only light
Just like the subtle twinkling
Of a distant floating star
I'll find a way to find a way
To wherever you are
