Loss

When loss grips you with its might Strong enough to lose your sight Memories can haunt you so Unless you let the gratitude flow For every moment you had to share Knowing nothing could ever compare For without, you would not be who you are The special times led you like a star So the deeper the grief, the deeper the love That will shine forever from above Be all you can be as your loved one knew Be grateful for all the loving times so true Heidi Sands 6/10/17 *This is not to minimize loss/grief in any way as it stays with us always, but this gratitude helped me through tragic loss in life.

Hi Heidi I don't believe this poem diminishes loss or grief in any way. I think it's a great poem.

SUCH I HAVE FELT OFTEN. Loss that brought epic pain and sorrow my friend. Youth has many advantages but many follies too. For love lost hurts far more when tooooooooo young to rationalize cause, effect and Fate.. Love your gem my friend.. May your pen produce massive fruits and well watered trees..

Yes, very hard to do. Loss has such a huge impact on us. It was actually the only way I could cope with it. But it stays with me forever. Thank you for your visit, Darren. I hope all is well.
