Loss

Tomorrow towers
As I lament the hours
Burying the days
That have already come

I know it is near
Swallowing the fear
Breathing the silence
That has yet to come

Born to die
Living a lie
Telling myself
It will never come

One by one
Till there are none
Who will tell me
My hour has come

Time will tell
When there is no one else
To have never lived
Is loss
