Losing Yourself

Not wishing my life on anyone.
It is a life I chose, so with me
it will stay.
Hoping and praying my children
take a different path.
Wanting them to have a better life
then I.
Wanting all their dreams to come
true.
Not wanting them to just settle,
wanting them to live, not just fade
away in the background.
I don't want them to lose themselves,
the way I got lost.
