Losing You

I was waiting for you in this empty house You were late again, I waited for your car But it never came, I didn’t know why Until the police came and said you’d died I couldn’t believe it, this couldn’t have happened to you You were my love, it couldn’t be true Tears in my eyes, pain in my heart they took me to see you I saw you lying there, so peaceful and quiet It was your end just as you were beginning to start I couldn’t take it, losing you My mind failed, I didn’t know what to do The knife in my hand, the grief in my heart I knew you’d be waiting for me, then we’d never have to be apart
