Losing You

I promise you the world All it’s riches, gems, and gold To deliver to you the stars and the moon And bunch of snow in the middle of June But you still choose to walk out of the door left me wondering if you want more What else could I give? What else could I offer? Every seconds without you feels like torture As you gave me one last look, tears formed in your eyes You said “Sorry, I am not good in goodbyes” “But I don’t need the world, I am good with just a dime” “I just hope to have some of your precious time” I am down on my knees as guilt consumes me Why did I overlook your misery? I wish I have known earlier to make things right Coz now it’s too late and you’re out of my sight I’ve been trying to do a lot of things Forgetting the little joys that life can bring Busy finding that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow So in the process of chasing success, I end up losing you...
