Losing the Fight

Will I ever see you,
Again with you're smile.
I don't think I can,
Maybe  not for awhile.
Will I be okay,
If you died.
I think everyday,
I should have tried.
I had to be strong for you,
Then a shadow cast,
There was nothing I could do,
Cancer took over too fast.
I wasn't there,
To see you go,
But you know I care,
Everyday that will show.
You know I love you,
You're in most things I write.
And I'm sorry too,
That you lost the fight.
