Losing Sight

Today, it seems
I won’t escape
Despite my dreams
I won’t be great

I’m in a cloud
Of heavy smoke
Beneath a shroud
To ease the choke

I don’t like night
I loathe the day
My will to fight
Has gone astray

Taunting mirrors
Ringing phones
Consistent fear
Is now my home

The rain is steady
I’m losing sight
My heart is heavy
With absent light

Wow - one would think it was written by someone taking their last breath. Poignant penning, Anna. Awesome rhythm. Had to FAVE.
